German airline Lufthansa cancelled 60 flights to Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France on Monday (8 November) after its workers at the airport went on strike.

The airline said that a new pay deal struck late on Monday has averted any further strikes and that its flight schedule would return to normal on Tuesday (9 November).

A spokesperson for Lufthansa said that around 2,000 passengers were affected by the strike. The airline normally operates around 80 flights a day from Paris, reports Reuters.
