An upgraded telemetry system jointly developed by Cambridge-based motor racing specialists Pi Research, in partnership with Plextek, is now installed on three Formula 1 team cars. The on-car unit is being used in 2002 by teams Williams-BMW, Jaguar and Arrows. BAR Honda will start using the system later this season.
